Summer Sewing Camp in Brandon, Florida
or you have experience. The new sewers will be given a project that allows them to develop
the basic concepts of sewing while the experienced sewers are challenged
with more complex projects.
Monday- Friday 10:00- 3:00
All materials are included,
and each student is provided with a sewing machine.
At the end of camp you can buy a sewing machine at a reduced rate.
It’s important for all students to arrive on time each day so we can finish our projects.

Over the Rainbow Quilt:
This camp is for our older campers, beginner or advanced beginners.
Are you ready to cuddle up under your very own quilt? We are excited to share our love of quilting with the next generation. During this camp, our young budding quilters will learn the appropriate quilters vocabulary, how to cut blocks using scissors or a rotary cutter, design the layout of their own quilt, sewing with 1/4” seam allowance, sewing the blocks into rows, layering the quilt sandwich , quilting and binding their own quilt. Get ready for the building blocks of a lifetime skill.
Come & have fun! Quilting is a great way to unlock your child’s creativity.
Prerequisite: prior experience at our shop is a must. If you haven’t taken a class with us please schedule our “get ready for camp” class.
Miss Mary has designed the pattern of our OVER THE RAINBOW QUILT. Soon, we will have a real sample.
The student will be working with low volume fabrics while using a rainbow of solid colors for the additional blocks. Each student will also be able to choose their own backing for their quilt.

Skittles Quilt:
This camp is for preteen campers, beginner or advanced beginners.
Let’s celebrate summer with a bright rainbow of colors! We are excited to share our love of quilting with the next generation. During this camp, our young budding quilters will learn the appropriate quilters vocabulary, how to piece with precut fabric, sewing with 1/4” seam allowance, layering the quilt sandwich , and quilting straight lines on their own machine. The younger students in the group will have the quilting done by our longarmers. Then they will finish their quilt by binding it on their own. Get ready for the building blocks of a lifetime skill.

Junior Makers Camp:

Mermaid Sewing Camp:
Make a splash this summer while jumping into the magical world of mermaids. During this camp we will be sewing a mermaid skirt and a top for our 18 inch doll while using sewing patterns. We will also make a summer bag that each child will learn how to work with not just with a pattern, but learn to applique, coordinate fabrics to design the mermaid while learning how to create a bag.

Doll Slumber Party Camp:
This camp is for our younger sewists,
ages 6 through 8.
Every little girl loves to play with dolls. Let’s jump into the world of imagination while having a pretend slumber party, but in order to do that we must have a bed and some pajamas. In this camp we will be making a set of pajamas for an 18” doll and we will also make all the accessories for the dolls bed including a bed sheet, comforter and cute pillows. Your doll will surely enjoy her sleep over in style. The student can pre-order their doll’s bed at the shop for an additional $19.00

Fashion Diva Camp:
Are you ready to dress up for Florida summer days?
During this camp the sewist will follow a sewing pattern while sewing a pair of shorts that are fully lined with a high waisted flat waistband.
They will also make an adorable bubble top and get to choose their favorite prints for their summer outfit.
The camper will surely learn a variety of skills during this camp from learning to cut a pattern , working with the proper seam allowance for apparel sewing and lots more.
Teen Camp:

Let's Make Some Clothes Camp
I absolutely love this entire outfit! The sewist will jump right into apparel sewing while making these classic style sailor shorts. The shorts have a flat front with a back elastic for ease of wearing. Pair it up with this cute top and you have an entire set for the summer. The campers will be using patterns while learning a variety of skills.
What a great way to end the summer with a new outfit.
Includes all materials, lunch on special days, and the use of our sewing machines.
Booking a camp requires payment of camp tuition.
If you cancel your camp more than 2 weeks before the start of camp, we will provide a full refund.
If you cancel with less than 2 week notice and we can fill the spot for you from a
waiting list we will refund you in full.
*Missed days of camp are non refundable.
Late pick ups that arrive more than 10 minutes of conclusion of camp
will be charged a fee. Please plan ahead.
We can not guarantee completion of projects for your child if your child is late or misses day.
Although, we aim for everyone to compete their projects.
What to bring to camp:
Bottled water, snacks, and a small bagged lunch.
We will have special days
where we will walk to Chicken Taco Loco Restaurant
and the children will have a class on how to
build a taco and make guacamole.
We are excited to offer this experience this year.
